LGBTQ是什么意思？代表哪些单词的缩写？
今天写这篇文章，是因为易有笔记看到了一则关于Johnny Depp的女儿Lily-Rose Depp为LGBTQ群体拍摄宣传图片的新闻报道（Johnny Depp’s daughter poses for LGBTQ photography campaign）。也许你曾经听说过LGBT的说法，甚至知道LGBT代表“包括同性恋在内的特殊性取向群体”，可是你知道LGBTQ代表什么吗？
好吧，其实LGBTQ是由五个不同单词的首字母缩写组合而成。其中：
L代表：Lesbian，指的是女同性恋者。（women whose primary emotional, romantic, sexual, or affectional attractions are to other women.）
G代表：Gay men，指的是男同性恋者。（men whose primary emotional, romantic, sexual, or affectional attractions are to other men. ）
B代表：Bisexuals，指双性恋者。（men or women whose primary emotional, romantic, sexual, or affectional attractions are to both women and men. ）
T代表：Transgendered，指变性者，包括异装者、变性人等。（a broad term that includes cross-dressers, transsexuals, and people who live substantial portions of their lives as other than their birth gender.）
Q代表：关于Q代表的含义，有两种解释，一种说是：Questioning，代表“质疑”。表示对自己的性取向（sexual orientation）、或性别（gender orientaion）比较迷惑，不知道该如何选择。另一种则比较直白，认为代表：Queer。其实从含义上来说，Queer和Gay都指（男）同性恋者，homosexual。但是其实在美国，很多同性恋者比较忌讳被称为“queer”。因为他们认为Queer比较带有侮辱性质（queer的词义有“古怪”之意），不如Gay的含义比较中性。Will个人觉得，Q代表Questioning的说法更为妥当、贴切。
LGBTQ群体的共同点是：他们都挑战主流社会认同的异性恋标准，并因此而受到歧视。（What people in these groups all have in common is that they challenge the heterosexist norms of mainstream society and are stigmatized as a result，引自Texas Tech University）Will认为，性取向是个体的自由，只要这种行为没有对他人造成伤害。随着社会的进步，主流社会应当更为宽容地对待这个弱势群体。
